Twenty-five private-label concepts, built for the one Malaysian channel most OEM catalogues ignore: the koperasi. Four skincare and hair collections plus six ready-made family and gift sets, with the actives, pack sizes and set structures a koperasi board can take to a members’ meeting and decide on.

Every item is a formulation concept for private-label development, not a finished registered product. Claims shown are positioning directions and are finalised against testing and the destination market’s regulatory route before launch.
Quick answer: what is in the koperasi private-label range?
The 2026 koperasi concept catalogue contains 25 private-label concepts: an acne routine of six products, a four-step hydration routine, a five-product brightening and suncare line with two SPF50+ sunscreens, a four-piece hair and hijab set, and six ready-made set formats — essential family, travel personal care, travel skincare, ibadah sets for Umrah and Hajj travellers, and a premium gift box for annual general meetings and festive giving. Every item is halal-oriented and carries the member’s own brand name. Development quantities start from 500 units per SKU.
Key takeaways
- A koperasi does not need a hero product. It needs a range members already buy. Body wash, shampoo, sunscreen and a simple acne routine move on repeat; a single novelty SKU does not.
- Bundles do the selling. Six ready set formats — family, travel, ibadah, and a gift box built for the AGM — turn one decision into three to six units per member.
- Two tiers, one factory. An accessible standard routine for first-time users and a higher-specification tier for members who already use actives, so one range covers a whole household.
- Halal orientation is structural, not a sticker. Ingredient selection, the hijab and ibadah formats and fragrance-free options are decided at formulation stage.
- SPF is the compliance-heavy part. SPF50+ PA++++ has to be earned through validated testing, and any formula change means testing again.
Why the koperasi channel is worth a range of its own
Malaysia’s beauty and personal care market is forecast to reach about USD 3.7 billion by 2026, growing around 5.6% a year, with roughly 27% of sales happening online (U.S. International Trade Administration). Most of that growth is chased through the same two doors: pharmacy chains and TikTok. The koperasi channel sits outside both. It reaches members directly, it already handles recurring household purchases, and it carries a level of trust a new brand normally spends years buying.
What it usually lacks is product. A koperasi board can approve a range in one meeting but has no formulation, packaging or halal pathway behind it. That is the gap this catalogue is built for: a complete own-brand range, in formats members recognise, ready to be branded with the koperasi’s own name.

Both tiers are produced under ORIZI Group’s OEM and ODM capability, which means the same range can start small and scale without changing supplier.
Collection 01 — Acne Care (6 products)

Acne is the most common skin concern raised by younger Malaysian consumers, and it is also where a range earns its repeat purchase: a member who starts with a cleanser comes back for the serum and the sunscreen. The routine runs cleanse, tone, treat, moisturise, spot-target and protect, built on salicylic acid with centella asiatica for tolerance.

Collection 02 — Hydration and Barrier Care (4 products)

The hydration set is the household line: gentle enough for the whole family, and the natural pairing for anyone whose skin is stressed by acne actives, sun exposure or air-conditioning. Hyaluronic acid, five ceramides, panthenol and centella asiatica carry the barrier story.

Collection 03 — Brightening and Suncare (5 products)

Even tone is the most requested outcome in this market, and sun protection is what actually delivers it. Niacinamide, a vitamin C derivative and alpha arbutin drive the routine; the two sunscreens — one aqua-light, one tinted — are what make the result hold.

Collection 04 — Hair and Hijab Care (4 products)

A covered scalp spends the day warm and enclosed, which is a different problem from ordinary hair care and one that mass-market ranges rarely address directly. This four-piece set handles it: scalp freshness, conditioning, an anti-hair-fall serum with AnaGain, and a fine mist for hair and hijab fabric.

Collection 05 — Family Bundles and Gift Sets (6 formats)

This is where a koperasi range makes its money. Members buy sets, not single bottles, and a board buys gift boxes once a year for the AGM. Six formats cover the calendar: everyday family care, travel sizes for balik kampung, ibadah sets for Umrah and Hajj travellers, and an emerald gift box for festive and corporate giving.
| Product | Pack | Active story |
|---|---|---|

What can be customised — and what cannot

- Freely customised: brand name and logo, colourway and sleeve design, fragrance direction, the product mix inside each set, and pack sizes within the available moulds.
- Customised with reformulation: active percentages, texture changes, fragrance-free versions, and swapping a preservative system — each one restarts stability testing.
- Not negotiable: an SPF or PA rating without validated testing, a halal certificate without the certification route being completed, and any medicinal wording on a product registered as a cosmetic.
How claims are substantiated
| Claim type | What it needs | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Safety and stability | Accelerated and real-time stability, compatibility with the chosen pack | Every product in the catalogue |
| Skin tolerance (“gentle”, “suitable for sensitive skin”) | Dermatological tolerance testing on human volunteers | Hydration set, ibadah and family formats |
| Performance (“brightening”, “reduces hair fall”) | Instrumental or consumer-perception study on the finished formula | Brightening routine, anti-hair-fall serum |
| SPF50+ PA++++ | In-vivo SPF and UVA-PF testing on the exact finished formula | All three sunscreens |
| Halal | Certification through the recognised authority for the destination market | The whole range, where the partner requires it |
Which collection to start with

- First launch, limited budget: the hair duo plus a body wash. Highest repeat rate, simplest claims, no SPF testing.
- You have an AGM or a festive season coming: start with the gift box. One decision, one purchase order, immediate visibility among members.
- Your members are young: the acne routine, then add the aqua sunscreen once the routine is selling.
- Mixed-age membership: the hydration set, which is the least likely to cause a reaction complaint.
- Umrah or Hajj groups in your membership: the ibadah sets — a format almost nobody in this market supplies properly.
The ORIZI perspective
The mistake we see most often in community-channel launches is not the formula. It is launching twelve products at once because the catalogue had twelve. A koperasi that opens with three products it can keep in stock outperforms one that opens with a full range and runs out of the only two members actually wanted. Stock depth beats range width for the first two seasons, every time.
The second one is the gift box. It looks like a vanity item until the first AGM, when it turns out to be the single largest order of the year — and the cheapest way to put the koperasi’s own brand into every member’s home at once.
Limitations and claim notes
- Every item here is a development concept, not a registered finished product. Final formulation, costing, lead time and claim wording are confirmed at quotation.
- SPF and PA values are targets until tested on the finished formula.
- Halal status follows the certification route for the destination market; it is not implied by ingredient choice alone.
- Ingredient names shown are the active story, not the full INCI list. Full ingredient lists are issued with the technical file.
- Cosmetic products cannot carry medicinal claims. Acne products are positioned for the appearance of blemishes, not as treatments.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order quantity for the koperasi range?
Development quantities start from 500 units per SKU for this range. If that is too high for a first launch, ready-formula products start from 50 units under our R2B route, and a koperasi can begin there and move to its own formulation later.
Can a koperasi put its own brand name on these products?
Yes — that is the purpose of the catalogue. Brand name, logo, colourway and sleeve design are all customisable, and every concept is shown with a placeholder brand for exactly this reason.
Are these products halal certified?
They are developed to be halal-compatible, and certification is obtained through the recognised authority for the destination market as part of the project. A certificate belongs to a specific finished product and manufacturer, so it is completed during development rather than claimed in advance.
Can we change what goes into a set?
Yes. The set contents are a starting structure, not a fixed SKU. Items can be swapped, added or removed to match what your members buy, within the available pack formats.
How long does a first launch take?
For ready formulas with your own branding, typically one to two months. For customised formulations, plan around three to six months, mainly driven by stability testing, any performance or SPF testing, and the halal and product-notification route.
Why are there three sunscreens in a 25-product range?
Because sun protection is the one product that makes the rest of the range work — acne marks and uneven tone both worsen without it — and because one aqua-light and one tinted format cover two very different buyers. All three require their own testing.
Can this range be exported?
Yes. The formulations are developed to Malaysian requirements and can be adapted for other ASEAN markets, but each market has its own notification route and claim rules, and sunscreen and whitening-type claims are the most tightly controlled.
